DESCRIPTION:Christine Fulton\, MS | 4 Hour | in-person at LRC-Central\, Trenton\, NJ  \nCoaching is a form of PD that brings out the best in people\, uncovers strengths and skills\, builds effective teams\, cultivates compassion\, and builds emotionally resilient educators.” (Aguilar\, 2013).  When coaching is done at a high level it can be a powerful tool\, but what do we need to get there?  In this 2- hour session\, participants will learn about themselves as coaches and how to build trust in coaching relationships to lay the groundwork for meaningful change.  Participants will gain new tools to add to their coaching toolbox including: frameworks for coaching\, understanding how beliefs are constructed\, how to support coachees in identifying mental models\, and reflecting on different ways to see a situation. Participants will also learn about different coaching approaches and when they are best suited to support those we coach\, as well as best practices for teaching new skills.
