The New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family Development (DFD), oversees agencies that administer social service programs including Work First NJ/Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Work First NJ/General Assistance, NJ SNAP, child support services, and child care services. The Early Childhood Leadership Institute (ECLI) has partnered with DFD leadership to provide support to their supervisors through professional development and ongoing mentoring sessions. Supervisors learn coaching strategies to support their field staff in interacting with administering agencies and families.
